    Modeling the impact of the oil sector on the economy of sultanate of Oman

    This study constructs and analyses a simple macroeconomic model that specifically tailored to model the impact of oil sector on the economy of Sultanate of Oman. The constructed model of the study measures the impact of oil sector on the Oman economy for the last three decades and also provides some forecasting for the major macroeconomics indicators related to the Oman economy. Model simulations indicate that the oil sector has large and positive impact on Oman gross domestic product and its influence spills over to all other non-oil sectors of Oman economy. The study found that largest influence of oil was on the gas sector and the least economic sector influenced by oil was agricultural sector. The findings of the study suggest that Oman economy is far from being diversified and that the proposed model helps the policy makers in Oman to identify and forecast the impact of oil on other components of the Oman economy

    The implementation of exoneration clause in the judicial viewpoint of the Islamic Contract was contrary to Al-Qur'an, Hadits, and sharia principles like tyrannical aspect which could cause injustice for the parties concerned. Exoneration clause is also contrary to the principles in the Islamic Contract. The legal consequence of the implementation of exoneration clause in the Islamic Contract is a bad contract. In the Civil Code, Law on Consumer Protection, and the Rule of Financial Services Authority is null and void. The implementation of exoneration clause in the statement letter on musyarakah (capital participation) financing contract in the case of the Religious Court Number 967/Pdt.G/2012/PA.Mdn, the judges have applied the law to decide the exoneration clause does not have the binding force on the parties, so that the repayment of the financing is not the responsibility of the heir

    Stroberi merupakan salah satu komoditas buah-buahan yang penting di dunia, terutama untuk negara-negara beriklim subtropis. Perbanyakan vegetatif pada tanaman stroberi yang paling banyak dilakukan oleh petani yaitu dengan menumbuhkan stolon, ada juga dengan anakan, namun belum ada riset ilmiah tentang bahan tanam dan pengaruhnya terhadap produkstivitas stroberi. Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) Untuk mempelajari pengaruh jenis bahan tanam dan varietas pada pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman stroberi (2) Untuk menentukan jenis bahan tanam maupun varietas stroberi yang paling baik, sehingga diperoleh pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman stroberi yang terbaik. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan April - Juli 2013 di Kebun Percobaan Kliran (Sumber Brantas). Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial. Faktor I = macam bahan tanam (indukan, anakan dan stolon). Faktor II = varietas (Santung, Sweet Charlie dan Lokal Brastagi). Masing-masing kombinasi perlakuan diulang 3 kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan bahan tanam Indukan dengan varietas Lokal Brastagi memberikan hasil terbaik pada parameter bobot basah tanaman, bobot kering tanaman dan jumlah anakan. Sedangkan bahan tanam stolon dengan varietas Lokal Brastagi menghasilkan panjang buah tertinggi

    Legal consequence caused by a legal marriage is that the child, born from it, will be a legitimate child who has civil law relationship with the parents. On the other hand, an illegal marriage will not have any ralationship with legal consequence. A child from an illegal marriage will become the target of social law caused by the biological mother and the genetic father. The position of as child plays an important part in a marriage although the father may not recognize his child when the latter comes from an illegal marriage. The recognition of a child's position is merely as a ‘recognized child' (natuurlijk erkendkind) and not as a legitimate child (wettig kind) without being followed by a legal marriage. It can be formulated some problems as followed : 1) how about the background of a child's position from an illegal marriage in the study of positive law, 2) how about the recognition of an illegitimate child's position in the study of positive law, and 3) how about the implementation of an illegitimate child's civil right in the study of positive law. Research better way to solved problem or to find answer from principal deduce and then systematic planning. Methodology is a logic based from scientific research. From the result of the research, it can be concluded that for the case which needs the provision of a marriage, judges do not need to refer to the Ruling of the Constitusional Court No. 46/PUU-VIII/2010. They only needs to examine the completesness of evidence and hears witnesses who are prensented as applicants. For the case of recognizing an illegitimate child, judges refer to the Ruling of the Constitusional Court No. 46/PUU-VIII/2010 as the consideration for the sake of the child

    CONTINUOUS MOTION NOMINAL CHARACTERISTIC TRAJECTORY FOLLOWING CONTROL FOR POSITION CONTROL OF AN AC DRIVEN X-Y BALL SCREW MECHANISM

    AC servo mechanisms are widely used in industrial application due to its advantages in higher efficiency, less maintenance, and smoother operation than DC servo mechanism. However, AC servomechanism frequently suffers from its inherently non-linear characteristics and more difficult to be controlled in positioning applications. A general step input easily drove the mechanism and stop smoothly in the open-loop environment, however, it is not the same for AC driven ball screw mechanism. Hence, the contributions in this paper are: (1) the realization of the practical control method - continuous motion nominal characteristic trajectory following (CM NCTF) control to an AC driven ball screw mechanism, (2) the design of a suitable input signal that produces sufficient rapid and smooth response during deceleration motion in the open-loop experiment. The open-loop responses used to construct nominal characteristic trajectory (NCT) are important because it significantly affects the reference following characteristic of the control system. The experimental evaluations were carried out for CM NCTF control system and PI-D control system. The results show that the designed input signal has successfully produced rapid and smooth open-loop responses during deceleration that benefit the reference position near NCT origin. Besides that, the CM NCTF control system that designed with the newly constructed NCT has demonstrated better positioning results than the PID controller with almost 10 times of motion error reduction for Y-axis for both amplitudes of 5 mm and 10 mm respectively

    AbstrakNotaris adalah pejabat umum yang berwenang membuat akta otentik dan kewenangan lainnya, sebagaimana dimaksud Undang-Undang Nomor 30 Tahun 2004 jo Undang-Undang Nomor 2 Tahun 2014 tentang jabatan notaris  Tanggung jawab notaris dalam pembuatan akta RUPS dimana notaris hadir secara langsung, notaris dapat dimintai pertanggungjawaban terkait benar tidaknya isi dari akta tersebut dan notaris memiliki tanggung jawab penuh terhadap isi akta tersebut, hal ini dikarenakan karena notaris melihat, mendengar serta menyaksikan secara langsung jalannya rapat, kemudian notaris mencatat keterangan dari hasil rapat tersebut yang dituangkan dalam akta RUPS yang langsung dihadiri oleh notaris (akta Berita Acara Rapat). Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian Hukum Metode penelitian Yuridis Normatif. Data yang digunakan meliputi Data primer, Sekunder dan Tersier, Pengumpulan data menggunakan Teknik studi Pustaka (Library research) dan studi Kepustakaan (Library research ) selanjutnya data ini dianalisis  dengan metode kualitatif. Hasil dari Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam Putusan Mahkamah Agung No.1330 K/Pdt/2020, dimana Notaris Liong Rahman telah lalai dalam membuat akta berita acara rapat RUPS Saham PT. Amal Nusantara nomor 14 tanggal 24 Desember 2014, Sebelum membuat akta Rapat Umum Pemegang Saham  Notaris Liong Rahman tidak memperhatikan dan tidak melakukan pengecekan terlebih dahulu melalui situs Dapartemen Hukum dan Hak Asasi Manusia tentang pengurusan dan pemegang saham PT. Amal Nusantara dimana para pihak yang melaksanakan RUPS tersebut bukan lagi pemilik saham dari PT. AMAL NUSANTARA tersebut, sehingga Notaris Liong Rahman melakukan perbuatan melawan hukum. Kata Kunci : Tanggung Jawab, Notaris, Kelalaian, Pembatalan Akta. Abstrack A notary is a public official who is of the opinion of making authentic deeds and other authorities, as referred to in Law Number 30 of 2004 in conjunction with Law Number 2 of 2014 concerning the position of a notary. whether the contents of the deed are correct or not and the notary has full responsibility for the contents of the deed, this is because the notary sees, hears and witnesses firsthand the demonstration of the meeting, then the notary records the information from the results of the meeting as outlined in the deed of the GMS which is immediately highlighted by the notary (deed of Minutes of Meeting). This study uses legal research normative juridical research methods. The data used includes primary, secondary and tertiary data. Data collection uses library research and library research. The data is then analyzed using qualitative methods. The results of this study indicate that in the Supreme Court Decision No.1330 K/Pdt/2020, where Notary Liong Rahman was negligent in making the deed of the minutes of the PT. Amal Nusantara number 14 December 24 2014, Before making the deed of the General Meeting of Shares, Notary Liong Rahman did not pay attention and did not check first through the website of the Department of Law and Human Rights regarding the date of management and the shareholders of PT. Amal Nusantara where the parties who carry out the GMS are no longer the shareholders of PT.     Bacillus pumilus B12 Degrades Polylactic Acid and Degradation Is Affected by Changing Nutrient Conditions

    Poly-lactic acid (PLA) is increasingly used as a biodegradable alternative to traditional petroleum-based plastics. In this study, we identify a novel agricultural soil isolate of Bacillus pumilus (B12) that is capable of degrading high molecular weight PLA films. This degradation can be detected on a short timescale, with significant degradation detected within 48-h by the release of L-lactate monomers, allowing for a rapid identification ideal for experimental variation. The validity of using L-lactate as a proxy for degradation of PLA films is corroborated by loss of rigidity and appearance of fractures in PLA films, as measured by atomic force microscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), respectively. Furthermore, we have observed a dose-dependent decrease in PLA degradation in response to an amino acid/nucleotide supplement mix that is driven mainly by the nucleotide base adenine. In addition, amendments of the media with specific carbon sources increase the rate of PLA degradation, while phosphate and potassium additions decrease the rate of PLA degradation by B. pumilus B12. These results suggest B. pumilus B12 is adapting its enzymatic expression based on environmental conditions and that these conditions can be used to study the regulation of this process. Together, this work lays a foundation for studying the bacterial degradation of biodegradable plastics

    A review: Utilization of waste materials in concrete

    Concrete is the most important material in building construction. It had been used widely around the world and is made of cement, fine aggregates, coarse aggregates and water. These materials come from natural resources which had a depletion and environmental pollution issues. On the other hand, tonnes of waste are generated around the world especially in developed country which are having rapid industrialization, increasing population growth, technological developments and urbanization. Most of the waste materials from those causes are not recyclable. The methods managing of the waste materials are usually done by dumping in landfills or burning. Thus, in order to overcome both issues, alternative replacements from waste materials can massively give huge differences to the industry that will reduce the usage of natural resources and gives benefits to the industry itself and also to the environment. Studies on waste materials had been conducted by many researchers before. Hence, in this paper, some materials which are coal bottom ash, slag, ceramic waste and glass powder will be discuss as waste materials that have been used from many backgrounds of industries. This paper attempt to summarize the investigation of the following materials as substitution materials in concrete, with the following discussion. The properties such as workability, compressive strength, ductility etc. of these replacement materials are compared with the normal concrete. A lightweight concrete that is safe and eco-friendly will be produced as a construction material. This shows that some of the materials can improve the performance of concrete itself. Thus, this study is crucial in finding the other waste materials that can act as a replacement

    Integrated Open Loop Resonator Filter Designed with Notch Patch Antenna for Microwave Applications

    This paper presented the design of integrated open loop resonator bandpass filter with notch type antenna for the use in microwave applications. Chebyshev type filter is selected as the filter characteristics and cascaded design with the antenna to produce a single module, Integrated Filter Antenna (IFA). Special feature of the antenna is the implementation of notch on the patch antenna to improve the efficiency. IFA is then simulated in electromagnetic simulation tool, Agilent Advance Design System (ADS) version 2016 and measured using R&S Vector Network Analyzer. It shows that the proposed IFA produced good measured return loss >-30dB with both vertical and horizontal gain of 9.11dBi and 8.01dBi respectively

    Review of mechanical performance of oil palm fiber and coconut fiber as an additional material in concrete

    Waste can be categorized as organic waste and chemical waste. Organic waste generated from agriculture industry had been proofed to be use in concrete production to enhance the concrete performance. The main purpose of adding the fiber in concrete structure is to control cracking due to plastic shrinkage and to drying shrinkage. Besides, it can also reduce the permeability of concrete, thus, reduce the bleeding of water. Some types of fibers produce greater impact, abrasion, and shatter resistance in concrete. Therefore, this paper reviewed the mechanical properties of concrete containing oil palm and coconut fiber as an additional material in concrete. Coconut fiber length is longer than oil palm fiber. Therefore, in comparison, by adding coconut fiber in concrete up to 5% may reduce the flexural and tensile strength of the concrete due to agglomerate effect of the fiber. In contrast, for oil palm fiber, beyond 5% of addition in concrete will improve the flexural and tensile strength of the concrete due to the length effect of the fiber. By discussing both organic fiber as an additional material to strengthen the concrete, it can contribute to the body of knowledge in term of reducing cracks in concrete. Besides, it will give a better understanding to readers regarding the function of the materials in concrete
